Warehouse Scanner – $16/Hour

Fast Staff is currently hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Scanner for a warehouse operation in Houston, TX . This position is responsible for accurately scanning, tracking, and verifying inventory and shipments throughout the warehouse.

Location: Houston, TX 77071
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with Sundays required as needed

Position Summary

The Warehouse Scanner plays an important role in maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring products are received, picked, scanned, and moved to the correct locations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable using an RF scanner, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Scan products, pallets, cartons, and inventory using a handheld RF scanner
• Verify product quantities and item numbers for accuracy
• Perform inbound receiving by scanning and recording incoming merchandise
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or missing items
• Scan products during the picking process and ensure the correct items are pulled
• Verify orders before they move to the next stage of operation
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Follow procedures for labeling, scanning, and product identification
• Report inventory issues or system problems to the supervisor or team lead
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to operate a handheld RF scanner
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to read labels, barcodes, item numbers, and product information
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Must be available to work Sundays when required
